Requirement of construction of any building or structure does not only require the building materials like cement, sand, aggregate, and steel. These are things that are only required after one gets approval from the local authorities for beginning the construction project. And to get the approval, one has to follow the building bye-laws of that Municipality/Rural municipality. Without it, one will be unable to start a construction project. And, in case it is complete somehow, it will be very hard to get legal approvals from Municipalities/Rural Municipalities. And, without approval from Municipalities/Rural Municipalities, it is illegal to start a business in those buildings, rent them or do any activities there. Even, without approval from Municipalities, the connection of electric and water supply is hard to get for those buildings. So, Building bye Laws are compulsory to follow in any type of construction.
